David’s appointment as Managing Director of Galliford Try Highways in 2021 follows over 21 years in the construction and civil engineering industry, with extensive experience spanning across the UK and overseas, predominantly working on major infrastructure projects with large tier 1 organisations. Immediately before joining Galliford Try, David was the Executive Director of Eiffage GC UK and Director of a major Joint Venture delivering a multi-billion pound civil engineering contract on HS2.

Qualified to Masters level in construction management, David is also a chartered construction manager with the Chartered Institute of Building [CIOB] and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers [ICE]. David is also passionate about driving positive change across the sector and is currently the Chairman of Safer Highways.

On a more personal note, David lives in the North-East with his wife,daughter, twin boysandtheir family dog, Bobby.
